Port Forward not working for RDP

Hello,

I've configured dst-nat to forward port 3389 so I can RDP from another external location to the internal server with the address 192.168.88.119. I have tried using quick set and webfig and followed and double-checked using several online guides. I just don’t know why it won’t work and what I am doing wrong.

I have tested to see if the port is open using online tools but always says closed.
I have a static IP from my ISP
The firewall rules are default rules which came with Mikrotik.
My Wan is port is SFP

RouterOS 7.5

software id = WEG9-XGD7

model = RB2011UiAS-2HnD

I am not sure what other information to include so I can best help. Let me know. TIA

Are you able to know exactly what is written inside a book, just from the cover?

No?

Sorry, but neither we know how to do it…

Sorry. I am not sure what other information to supply. I did have a look at the logs when I tried to RDP and I see the following.

dstnat: in:sfp1 out:(unknown 0), connection-state:new src-mac 64:12:25:e9:b3:40, proto TCP (SYN), 51.219.48.xxx:49212->188.240.179.xxx:3389, len 52

DOnt recommend 3389, not secure.

What rextended was probably alluding too is post your complete config.

/export ( minus serial number and any public WANIP info)

at the logs

We cannot understand what is written inside a book, even if you give it to my head, and try to interpret the result.

You have to show the /export of the device configuration, what is written inside…

Follow @anav’s suggestion

Sorry guys. Only new to all this. I was only using 3389 as an example. I actually have lots of ports to open and I am having some success with some of them, I will remove this post and post a more detailed post with my configs and the new issues I am having. Thanks again.

Maybe I delete this post and start again?

lots of ports to open

Then use a VPN protocol. You will get lots of bots trying to poke holes inside your network if you use port forward.

No problem, start one new, I delete this when you say to delete this on from the new topic.
