I am having problems on some workstations connecting to a CCR1016-12G running OS version v6.29.1.
When I debug, it is stopping on the auth of the user and keeps repeating in the log below until a timeout :

I am testing from a 3 Windows 7 PC’s, 1 Windows 8 PC, 1 OS X and 1 iPhone.
Two of the Windows 7 and the Windows 8 give the error above yet all the others work quickly and perfectly.
I have checked all the configurations and they match.
Disabled CHAP and PAP, dropped encryption, changed MTU’s and MRU’s. It does not work.
Antivirus on the PC’s has also been disabled.
The Internet Connection they are connecting on is part of a VLAN on the interface.
Firewall rules seem fine, I have opened up the rules as well to allow everything.
Any ideas why some of the users are not authenticating. (Local Accounting)
I am not sure if it’s a bug as I am having the same issue with L2TP/IPsec VPN where PPP never authenticates, timeout, and disconnects. However, Mikrotik support is aware of the issue after reproducing the issue and is currently awaiting a response from its developers.
