Problem when trying to flash OpenWrt in new RB750UPr2

Good morning,

I used to flash an OpenWrt 19.07.10 sucessfully but, the newer routers (with the newest logo) can´t flash the same OS. I can´t understand it because the ID Product is the same and I don´t know if there is another update.

I tried to install RouterOS v6 but it didn´t work.

Thanks

Hi,

think that is a question to OpenWRT community, not to the Mikrotik one.

What is the same product ID?
Are you sure that there is no /r2 (revision) on the product?
Newer batches of devices could have different motherboard/elements installed. Firmware takes care of it. If OpenWRT does not recognize them, then it's OpenWRT problem.
If you try to install ROS6 on devicec with the lowest factory version set to ROS7, then you are out of luck as there is no way to bypass thet limit.

I had done the downgrade with the RouterOS 6 but it didnt work

hi,

the id model is the same, the only difference comes with the logo.

As I wrote: what was the factory firmware? 6.xx or 7.yy ? If 7.yy then you are unable to downgrade to 6.

the 6.xx and i could downgrade it. The problem is when I try to flash it with the sysupgrade. When i got into it with the openwrt it gets blocked with the usr light on

So, what do you want? MikroTik staff to help you install OpenWRT?

If I have a problem with Linux, I really don't go asking on an Apple forum...
