Problem with 5213 Atheros mini pci

this card don’t accosiate to AP, however i tried the result is same
“searching wireless” and scan don’t see nothing?

soft v. is v2.9rc2

finally i tried atheros 5212 card ang everything works fine ( conf is same )

Is there some problem with 2.4Ghz in this card or soft?
Does anybody saw the same bug.

I have had unpredictable results using CM9 cards with RouterOS. The same problems do not occur when using the card under Windows. I can be in the hills, with no electronic devices around for 10 miles, with two CM9 radios within 50 feet of each other, and still have the radio drop connections at a forced 9Mbps with a steady -60dB signal. I’m sure there is no noise around(although with Mikrotik’s noted lack of reporting noise levels, we would never know), so I should be able to obtain an easy 54Mbps data rate, but most times I cannot. This is a big issue, since allowing the radios to autorange reduces data throughput to nearly nothing, with ping times becoming incredibly inconsistent and slow(which is another huge problem that should have already been resolved). The slow data throughput and ping times can be corrected by locking in a single data rate, but since only very low data rates will stay locked(even with incredibly strong signal in a noise-free environment), each unit is forced to stay configured with a slow link, even if the unit was able to go faster 95% of the time. Even then, when I lock 6Mbps, for example, the thing still ranges down to 1Mbps, even when in G-only mode. Also many times I cannot get the radios to lock onto a signal that is clearly strong enough no matter what I try, while I can simply reboot the router and the link will come right up, even though it never would link up before the reboot. These things happen on both Routerboard 532 boards, and Intel manufactured i845 chipset 2.4GHz boards. Another similar problem I have is that another Mikrotik radio will show up in the Snooper tool with, say, -70dB(for example) signal, but still not ever show up at all in Align or Scan mode…

The autoranging problem has been discussed here before in the past, but the only resolution I have found that works is to lock the data rate, and Mikrotik has not commented on the problem so far, at least not in public that I can find. Needless to say, I am curious what Mikrotik has to publicly say about it, and I also eagerly await a solution…

That being said, if you have proper antennas and low enough noise, you should get a link of some sort, or at least see something in one of the utilities. Make sure that both of your radios aren’t in “station” mode…
