Problems with wifi

Hi guys, today I found out that my MRB has a problem when I use WIFI, for days now I was having a bad internet connection,
so now and then the internet speed was going from 8mb to 0.1 or 0.3 some like that, was getting verry slow,
now checked the modem, the settings, also everything that could make problem like other signals, device that connect to it, could not find anything,
today when I came home, i only connected my pc and got same problem, so I runned ping -t to my modem and same to the mrb, it was showing
to much time between packets, so I connected my pc by cable, and turned off wifi, then the connection went to afte <1 ms by 63 ttl, and it since then it stays this way,
and now I’m getting 13mb, so I moved al devices off the wifi and now from today the problems on connection and speed dissapeared.
I’m in the same room where the mrb is. this problem I have also on my notebooks and Iphone. all same, every now and then like once in 30minutes or one hour it happens.
anybody had same problem ? I’m using : rb751u-2hnd with the latest firmware 5.20.

any ideas how can I solve it ? I didnot touch any settings of the wifi except the preshared key for the wpa, nothing else. I made a hard reset at the start of using it, and set it do get IP from DHCP and enable the DHCP server that’s all.

any help is much appreciated.

5.20 is not the firmware. That is the RouterOS version. The firmware is 2.x or 3.x.

Use Winbox (System - Routerboard - Update) and make sure you actually have the newest firmware.

Also, some people recommend to disable TX Chain 0 in the wireless.

my firmware is 2.41, and i cant seem to find newer version, maybe I’m looking wrong ?

and I found routeros : 5.20 ( m I doing it wrong ? )

when I disable TX chanins (HT TX chains) it shows me this error :
Couldn’t change Interface - no valid HT transmit chains selected (6)

I still have very unstable wifi, any help is much much much appreciated.
My wifi signal reaches 2 streets further, but at home mostly it’s maximum bandwidht is 2-3mb, sometimes it goes up to 6-7mb but the biggest problem is that
it’s really unstable, sometimes it says connected but there is no internet, so is not working properly, that time I’m unable to browse any website. while i’m in the same room.
any other router works perfectly.
