Provide Internet Access to Mobile Devices

Hello all,

I have some issues configuring a Mikrotik Metal 2SHPN device.
The network setup is as follows:
net_diagram.png
A)A home router from the ISP, having IP:192.168.1.3, dhcp server running and WIFI Disabled
B)A PC with IP:192.168.1.5, connected through ethernet to the router. Internet access works fine.
C)A Metal 2SHPN, IP:192.168.88.1 (the default) connected through ethernet with the Router (A)

Due to the incompetence of the person that will connect the Mikrotik, it would be better if the configuration of the ISP router (A) remained unmodified.

I woud like to know which settings I should configure in Metal in order to share internet access to smart phone users through WIFI.

I would appreciate your suggestions.

I have not done it with a Mikrotik setup yet, but I did just do it using Ubiquiti radios. The router has to be setup to do all the DHCP. as for the metal 2, you need to set it up as an Access Point. Make sure you are using the 802.11 BGN on 20 MHz. Password for the connection is important, or anyone will be able to connect to it. Also you need to setup the network so it will connect to the router. But the one thing that is important is to turn on the WDS Transparent Bridge Mode. That allows the Router to do DHCP thru the Metal 2. https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Transparently_Bridge_two_Networks

After configuring the internet to your mikrotik device.
Just configure the wireless settings of mikrotik RBmetal 2shpn band to B/G/N in 20Mhz.
