question about protected-routerboot

hi all,

since announced on newsletter issue #64 - February 2015, we put the mentioned file into our mipsbe routerboard. the files is http://www.mikrotik.com/download/share/protected_routerboot_v3_24_enable_6_29_1_mipsbe.dpk

on most of the newest devices, we found that the protected-routerboot field already put into /system routerboard setting.

but today we found our brand new Groove52HPN does not have protected-routerboot field on it but we know that this unit is one of mipsbe family member. how to make the field protected-routerboot exist ? is it possible to just upload the above file (http://www.mikrotik.com/download/share/protected_routerboot_v3_24_enable_6_29_1_mipsbe.dpk) into ROS 6.33.3 ?

update…
i just upload and the file protected_routerboot_v3_24_enable_6_29_1_mipsbe.dpk and the response on log are as follows :

22:51:28 system,info verified protected_routerboot_v3_24_enable_6_29_1_mipsbe.dpk
22:51:32 system,info installed protected-router-6.29
22:51:32 system, info FAILED to enable protected RouterBOOT: code 139
22:51:32 system,info router rebooted

and this is the system resource :

What is the firmware version of the routerboard? Have you tried to update it?

it was 3.22 and just upgraded since you remind me.
but the same error still shown up after the firmware upgraded.

/log pr

/sy ro pr
routerboard: yes

I’d try a netinstall…

Could you post a /system routerboard settings, /system resources print?

Find out what’s the backup RouterBoot of that unit after the netinstall, if it’s older than 3.22… or doesn’t appear as Protected already, try to reapply it again.

Are you sure Backup RouterBOOT is the same as Upgrade Firmware in /sys ro pr?

Try netinstall as @pukkita already suggested. Otherwise contact mikrotik support (although might take a while to get an answer since it is holiday season)
