Quickset Webfig Winbox

Hello.
I have question.
Is it save to start basic configuration with Quickset Home AP dual ( static IP etc., new MAC address and change Lan IP) , next set port forwarding in Webfig or Winbox and next to change configuration in Quickset to address acquisition - automating and change only MAC address. Does this changes cause conflicts in this order and direction?
I would like to prepare the configuration router in a different network and just change location in another network.

It shouldn’t cause conflicts, if you start your base with QuickSet and then move on to use the other sections.
However, if you make some changes in QuickSet again, it might reconfigure the device and lose some custom config you made in other menus.

So

QuickSet → Advanced = OK
QuickSet → Advanced → Quickset = Risky

Thank You.

By the way. Can I connect to Webfig by vpn (quickset configuration) or only Winbox?

By default, the MikroTik hardware devices have a firewall on the public interface port. All connections are blocked, so you can only connect from your local network.
Of course, you can enable the “VPN” service in Qickset from your LAN, and then you can connect and configure via VPN from anywhere.

I will try it by vpn but it working only winbox.
