R11e-LTE6 modem firmware changelog

Dear all,
I actually use a RBSXTR&r11e-LTE6 device running LTE firmware v025 and I’m waiting to receive a new one to configure for a new site.

is there a link with R11e-LTE6 firmware improvements/changelog to help me to judge if a new version is useful or risky to install?
Is there on the device the possibility to install a particular version of firmware from terminal? I’d like to install v025 on the new device because I’m scared of v026 and v027 due to absence of users feedback, but from terminal I can only upgrade to latest version (actually v027).

Thanks and regards
Mauro

v20 was weak but stable
v26 is not always stable
v27 are the best

We not have a changelog for lte modules firmware.

I just received the new device running v025 as LTE modem factory firmware. I don’t know if is better to keep v025 or upgrade to v027.
In case of troubles with v027 is there a way to downgrade to v025? Is downgrade possible directly or do I need additional hardware?
Does v027 compared to v025 fixes cell lock function? On v025 if I activate it, after some minutes connection stops working until a reset of modem module.
Thanks
Mauro

Thats way better is to do a firmware update.

Can we choose what version we want tto upgrade? Or there is no options? Now the latest LTE firmware is v029. What is the performance of this version? Afraid if upgrade got other issues. Currenyly I am using firmware v025.

Not that I am aware off. Upgrade is always latest version.

Did upgrade yesterday on sxt lte, no problems noticed. No improvements either.

But I use it for quite simple purpose, nothing advanced or taxing.
Only 3G, max 10mb and I am already happy.
ADSL service where that device is used is max 2mb so…

…I see V033 is available…my unit is on V029…any info, if an upgrade would improve things?

Last time i remember, i could not upgrade for some reason…
I think that was on V27…

R11e-LTE-4G and R11e-LTE6 can be upgraded online or from local file who can be shared by MikroTik support if cases need that.
Normaly we can do only do a /interface lte lte1 firmware-upgade=yes what download and install file from MikroTik servers.

The ChangeLog not exist.

With some problems we can contact with http://help.mikrotik.com

The support can install you a beta channel firmware and that firmware stay in beta state… he not upgrade to normal one and again we must contact to support to unlock normal firmware-update way by user. Some person share files between them and ppl install from file and stuck inside beta, no more updated by user - that’s why not use any file from anyone, only from MikroTik itself.
I think no one say about this for now.

Sorry for hijacking this thread, as I have R11e-LTE modem (on a SXT LTE Kit). I have a script that alerts me when a new firmware-update is available. Installed firmware is MikroTik_CP_2.160.000_v018 . Latest firmware is MikroTik_CP_2.160.000_v020 . Router OS is on 6.49.4 (stable). So, I am looking for a changelog too.

Anyway, thanks to @SiB for sharing whatever you know.

Today i tried to upgrade again a WAP R with a R11e LTE6 modem card twice…
Still i could not update, both times i was getting status failed when installing…

I thought then that it might be due to some extra packages added consuming Ram and HDD resources… So i did remove them and left only the default ones…
After that upgrade to V 033 was successful…

Sorry, no official changelog for any MikroTik R11* lte units :(, you can ask only at http://help.mikrotik.com

Okay, thanks for the info. I went ahead with the firmware upgrade. No issues found so far.

R11e-LTE - v020
R11e-LTE6 - v033
??

How come you care if you don’t have it?

I asked a question.
why you answer a question with a question?
it’s important for me to know

Really my first reply is a hint for help you to check what version you have and what is the latest.

It is also important for me to understand why it matters to you, that you don’t have it anyway…
