Hello everyone,
I am a new member in the Mikrotik family, so please, help me out with a question I am asking myself.
I have 5 Public IPs, currently routed by the ISP
My ISP keeps changing the IPs so I am thinking to purchase a small subnet of 8 IPs and route them with a RB1100AHx2 (http://routerboard.com/RB1100AHx2).
With a subnet, the ISP will provide only 1 directed connected IP through which I have to route the subnet, but in case the main directed IP will change in the future, I will not have to reconfigure all machines behind the router.
Behind it, I will have 5 machines with public IPs, each machine with it’s own firewall.
Question:
I have a 150 Mbps guaranteed service up to 1 Gbps.
Does a RB1100AHx2 handle gigabit routing with ease? No NAT, no firewall, no DHCP, just routing.
I know the MikroTik gives the performance numbers, but I would like to hear it from a client ![]()
I know it’s a late question, as I have already purchased the device, but until tomorrow when it will arrive via courier, I would like to sleep at ease ![]()
Thank you.
