I wonder if the nice Mikrotik colleagues did try the throughput on this two X2/x4 devices ?
As I already tested the scarce limits of the CCR1009-7G family and shown the ridiculously low performance, I am hesitant (read angry) to try again..
I was wondering, if I would need a ipsec gateway to which of this two devices look for ?

You are saying that this are real life results ?
Mind you that I already tested some “other” products with Mikrotik with magical configurations and spec sheets (hw/non encryption, lack of parallelism, beta, RC are just some words which came to my mind), which at the end did not shown in the tests more performance that a cheap x86 with dual ethernets.
Thats why I am asking the community for real hands on performance stories. I thank you for your time in writing me and pointing the product/marketing sheets for this models.
