RB150 - Performance

Hi,

What sort of performance can I expect using the RB150 as a hotspot gateway for wireless and wired clients?
Will this board masq 20mbs

RB150 does NOT have wireless …

I am using “other” wireless access points
The RB150 will be just the router

20Mbits should be no problem. depending on packet size, the throughput can be up to 100Mbits for the RB150 (big packets, connection tracking off).

with connection tracking and firewall rules, it can be around 40mbits.

hi,

i disable connection tracking, but also around 40mbits.
(i make the bridge all the interfaces)

how can i increase 100mbits ?

this board is not very powerful, don’t expect to get 100Mbits. you can also try to disable ‘neighbor discovery’ and also the ‘mac server’. upgrading to ROS v3 will also help to increase throughput
