Hi, my name is mike and I am using MikroTik for about 2 months.
I have two RB2011UiAS-2HnD and configured them according to the newbie faq a few weeks ago.
Everything worked fine, until 3 days ago.
One of the routers keeps rebooting constantly every 3-8 minutes.
It runs the latest firmware (3.16) and software version (6.15) and is only used as a internet gateway / firewall for my parents house.
So nothing special, not even wifi is being used.
The Temperature is about at 33C with 18.3V, the CPU Load is under 10%, 108MB free HDD space and 0.1% bad blocks are there.
The log only gives me four lines: “wan link up”, “lan link up”, “memory - system, error, critical - router was rebooted without proper shutdown” and “user admin logged in from … via winbox”
No watchdog or kernel panic or something like this.
When I made a backup of the original config it was about 45kb, I made a backup now and it had about 2MB.
I restored the original backup, but it didn’t help.
What can or shall I do to fix this problem?
Is the hardware defective?
Kind regards and thanks in advance.
mike
