RB4011iGS+RM and Huawei MA5671A SFP ONT

Is there a way to make RB4011iGS+RM recognize and use Huawei MA5671A SFP ONT provided by my ISP? Both RouterOS 6.43.4 and v6.44beta20 can’t establish link and eeprom dump looks funny too:

The ONT works without issues in a dumb TP-Link MC220L media converter, fwiw. Thank you in advance.

It’s very important to support this SFP because it’s one of the more common ONT used in FTTH GPON networks.

It’s unfortunate to need to use a 40$ media converter when there’s a nice unused SFP port on the RB4011. Please include support for the Huawei MA5671A SFP ONT.

Do you believe this knowledge would be useful for Mikrotik staff?

Hi!
Support for H650SFP for 4011, CCR and CRS would also be much appreciated!

any word from Mikrotik on supporting this ?

actually getting better speed when using the bell hub 3000 in passthrough mode than using the actual media converter…

direct support for the rb4011 would be awesome…

I’d also very much like Mikrotik support for the Huawei SFP ONT. This would save a lot of rack space & mess.

It’s weird.

All my ONT SFP like H650SFP or FGS202 are working fine in another Mikrotik product RB960PGS
