RB4011iGS, turn off blue LED, still not possible?

This blue LED is burning hole in my retina every time I have to look inside the rack.
Should I use black tape?

What happens when you use a Sharpie pen on it?

I use a small piece of gray tape. No sunglasses needed anymore.
