RB433 - factory reset failing

Hello guys,
I have old 433 and forgotten password. I tried this:
1- unplug all cables
2- press and hold RESET
3- plug in power
4- keep holding RESET for more than 1 minute
5- leave it for few minutes
6- reboot
this time result was both diods off, no flashing, during reseting and after.
Afte waiting long time and few reboots I could see diods flashig again. So I tried login with WinBox.
IP was 192.168.44.123 (is this default/factory???)
Tried this logins:
admin/(blank)
admin/admin
(blank)/(blank)
Always wrong username or password.

Then I googled and found 30/30/30 reset.
1-unplug cables
2-press reset, hold it and plug in power cable
3-hold 30sec. and unplug power
4-keep hoilding 30sec. and plug in power
5-keep holding 30sec. and then unplug cable.
During this last step, diods where flashing(unlike above). I was waiting few minutes to give it time to reset/reinstall, or whatever.
After few minutes, same problem with login and IP was same: 192.168.44.123

Did I reset device? My login is wrong? Any ideas?

thanks

Connect RS232 null modem cable to it and in bios boot menu select boot from LAN while running netinstall.

no way without RS232 cable?

and what is that thing with diodes off? During resetting and after resetting, both diodes are off, not flashing. It takes few minutes, even if I reboot.

I just tried netinstall, but Etherboot didn’t work. Device doesn’t show up in Netinstall. Also again issue with diodes, they are both off. Now I have to leave device without power for few minutes to boot it with diodes flashing again.
After that it will boot correctly, bacause WinBox can see it.
Every time when I try reset button I have same issue with diodes. Is it broken? There were no problems with it, we only forgot password.

Why do you hold reset button pressed that long?
According to Wiki (https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Reset#Using_reset_button), 5 sec. is enough to reset to factory default.

Regards,

didn’t work. I was trying everything I googled.
On some website I found reset called 30/30/30 and this one must work for every mikrotik … except the one I am trying reset :frowning:
But anyway, if I press reset, after while I should see diods flashing, right? But I don’t.
