We have a network which we have changed from Senao AP on the backbone to MT RBs. 112 x2 and 532 x2 . the 1 532 +564 has 5 compex AR5212 cards all running fine, although the Omni output seems down from the Senao. the other 532 has a 502 DB with 4 of the compex AR5212 cards. the 2 on the 532 are running fine but the other 2 show up and can be configured, but WILL NOT RUN! All CPEs are Senao’s ![]()
Could you be more specific about ’ WILL NOT RUN’ ?
Have you enabled them, do you see anything when running ‘interface wireless scan’ ?
Make sure antenna is connected correctly.
the cards are in the interface and wireless dialogs with all their details, but the little “R” which is present on all interfaces that are working,ie have traffic and clients have internet. these two don’t see their opp. number in the link, but they see the other cards on the 532. I have just arrived back home (23:45 our time) having spent the day at the site (about 160km from home). I swoped out the daughter board, swoped the card positions, the card still would not see its opp. ,replaced card with New one!
there is a client who is only 8km away from the 15dbi omni, and there is a 22dbi grid at her site with a senao 11meg ap, the best i could get was a signal streght of 9% and a QoS also of 9% ??? could it be the 532 not taling to the DB? ![]()
Client antenna is important too, probably you have to use more powerful antenna instead of omni for such distance.
Check pig tails are on the correct anntena connectors ie antenna A or antenna B change it in os and then see.
Hope it helps
John
After 4 days of frustration we have replaced the 2 OFFENDING connections with Senao 11meg AP’s p2p, with existing, unaltered Antenna setup and all is well for the clients. I am now convinced that the OS does not support the WLM54g 23dbm cards or we got a BAD batch (we bought 13) 11 are working, although out put is down from the old AP setup. When I look up the PCI’s it gives “Unknown device” report!
???
and very tired.
