RB951-2n, 802.11n and client wifi card intel 7260ac

Hello,

Intel says that 7260AC card is backwards compatible with 802.11n, but I can’t manage to even view RB wireless from the client, not listed. Is 802.11n in RB fully standard? Intel says 7260ac works with 892.11n 40 MHz. (I can connect to RB from other 892.11n clients. 7260ac connects to other n access points..

Working with Linux client.

Hi,

First of all, I give myself a possibility. That machine is still working with RouterOS 5.20. I have seen that versions 6.19 gives solutions to related bugs in wireless. I will update the Router and try.

Josep

Hello,

Finally, after upgrading RouterOS to 6.19 version, the RB Access Point seems to have improved, as the wireless device with the Intel 7260ac card the RB SSID is browsed and client connects.

By the way, after the upgrade, I had to clear cache in the web browser as I got an Internal Server Error from the RB.

Salutacions,
Josep

I’m glad you resolved your problem.
It is always advised to upgrade to latest version.
For management try using winbox, it’s better than using web.

Thanks.

Winbox? Havven’t Windows License. Only Linux.
Yes, I know, wine and so. I prefer avoiding that mess…
