For simplicity I normally feed the CPE (Sextant with RB911 or similar) with PoE out from the customer’s router RB951Ui.
However, sometimes (typically after a power outage) the RB951Ui stops detecting the PoE load properly and just blinks red. Looks like it detects a short?
The solution has usually been to drive to the customer and hook up a separate power and a splitter for the CPE.
Why does this happen and what can be done to avoid it? Anything I can do to the RB951 prior to installation to properly cope with it?
