reading ifName via SNMP in Mikrotik

Does anyone know how to set ifName for each interface in Mikrotik?

I am reading SNMP values from a netflow collector called Secrutinizer, but I am getting null value for interface’s name, so I searched and it seems like I can read those values through SNMP.

the problem is I don’t know how to set those values (ifAlias, ifName, ifDescr)

I think what I need is to set those SNMP values:

ifMIB.ifMIBObjects.ifXTable.ifXEntry.ifName
interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifDescr

any idea of how to do this in Mikrotik?

Just set them via winbox or ssh ot telnet. Why do you need to set that values with snmp? :slight_smile:

ifDescr is interface’s name
