Looks like if I enable multiqueue-ethernet-default ie mq-fifo/pfifo on 1Gbit interfces, the system becomes completely unstable, interfaces flap, even total crashes/reboots. This is with Broadcom Netextreme NICs and Intel quad gbit NICs etc. They were ok on v6. The Intel 10Gbit 5xx series NICs are just fine. …and copper 1/10Gbit SFPs actually seem to work fine in them.
hello there
Changing from “only-hardware-queue” to “multiqueue-ethernet-default” on the interface queue in ROS7 caused a crash in ~10-15 minutes and continuous reboots after that.
Possible Mellanox MT28908 ConnectX-6 related bug. Tried this with ConnectX-4 and it worked fine.
The platform is x86 Supermicro AS-1014S-WTRT
Upgrading to 7.16.2 didn’t help. Be careful.
