Hello. This is my only MikroTik router that I ever had, (hAP ax3 untill now and not last, I hope). I bought it because I heard and read that is a good solution for WiFi coverage and network security... That is ok for first basic configuration, but being accustomed to other basic routers—where it was quite straightforward to configure remote access to various devices on the network, as well as remote access to the router itself—this one has completely stumped me. I don’t need anything complex; I just want to be able to access it remotely over the internet via HTTPS using a custom port (other than 443) from anywhere. I also need to be able to access (read/write) files on my NAS. Could you advice me? Thank you.
I tried that GPT "said", but it not worked from internet, only local (access webfig https inside local network), but without possibility to modify 443 port in other value...
The usual advice is DON'T.
Access from outside should only be possible through a VPN or similar (Wireguard), https Is not considered secure enough.
But of course It Is possible..
Welcome on the forum and Thanks for not using AI to write silly posts.
Thanks to AI, every week there’s a new bug that allows access to a router via a service left exposed.
Changing the port won’t help, do you really think they only test port 443?...
I follow the instruction for BTH mobile app, but I cannot connect to router in mobile app, after vpn generated. Also, I tried Mikrotik mobile app, but I cannot connect to router. I disabled the "admin" standard user and create another one so, all I tried that from this new one... I have a DDNS from my ISP, so I want to use this not Mikrotik DDNS. It is possible?
Finally... I create tunnel only on BTH from android phone to acces remote, connectd my NAS to internet... How I can share the tunnel to acces from distant location PC? This not work Back To Home - RouterOS - MikroTik Documentation
