[request] WinBox Log window - wrong columns width

Hello!

I have non-standard DPI in my Windows OS settings. It looks like WinBox Log window does not take DPI it into account when calculates columns width.
Look at screenshot - do you see that first and second columns are too narrow and do not fit all data? Especially first one - I can not see minutes and seconds.
Is it possible to take DPI into account for this window? OR at least give user ability to resize columns - now they are fixed width and cannot be resized.

Thank you in advance.

I’ve set the text size to medium (125%) in Windows 7 on a 27" screen, and the Winbox date column is unreadable. I’m not so interested in the month’s name, but the second digit of the minute and often the seconds are crucial! Please fix this…

I have the same issue. Windows 7 x64 SP1 and 125% DPI settings. WinBox loader v2.2.18

The crazy thing is, all other lists in Winbox do have columns that CAN be adjusted in width; just not in the log window! :frowning:
It seems the solution for MikroTik programmers would be super easy: just add column names (date, source, bla message) on top of the log window and done?!

I have the same issue as well. Please implement a solution. Thank you.

Damn. Was hoping I was doing something stupid in not finding a way to change the column size in the log viewer. Really want to see the minutes/seconds of events in my log for an odd problem I’m having at a customer’s site. Don’t remember ever having this problem before, but I’ve changed my monitor from VGA to HDMI so my system is now using a different video driver using a different resolution.

Will fire up my laptop and see if I can read the times. Will also go to the latest Winbox on both machines.

This has been addressed in Winbox 3.24.
You can move the columns around and also apply filters on the log window.

In your case, going from VGA to HDMI, I can only assume that your PC changed it’s dpi scaling. With dpi scaling anything other than 100%, older versions of winbox will cause the log window to truncate the columns.
