Is there a true multi-platform rewrite of The Dude client planned? Like WinBox 4? Native MacOS version would be great.

An app on Linux without Wine would be most welcome.

If it will be like WinBox 4 (slower, heavier and with disgusting UI), I don't want to see it. Better make current Dude alive and improve it.

Currently I only use Wine for the Dude client… A native version for Linux would be great.

A web version would ROCK a lot !!!
… I am not shure, if we should wish … for a “web-version” … web is fashion … and fashion is windy 
we should wish, that the Dude is kept inside the distribution !
… the customers ( and I ) love the versatility … to monitor and visualize everything by building your own probes
… do they say … “damn it looks sexy” … ? … no … but after 3 weeks … frankly … nobody gives a damn on “sexy”

the Dude is very reliable … easy to Backup … small footprint … … in one word:
modern ! ( in the meaning of a contemporary need )

… which I do not have to monitor with an external protocol analyzer … like a firewall … or even worse … with a “web-application-firewall-thingy-like-appliance” : \ ]
It seems that development on The Dude has been stalled for a while. However, it wouldn't be a bad idea to continue developing it and make it cross-platform, including a mobile app.
I hope Mikrotik does put the effort in the devices controller instead of another 1:1 rewrite of ancient application - with "optimized" UI.
Give us a Christmas gift, make the Dude alive!
