Hi All,
I’m fairly new to RouterOS so here’s my dilemma and I’m hoping I can get some guidance on the issues.
I have a business DSL connection that offers two static I.P’s with my current package, all the ISP provides is a DSL modem and it’s the customers problem on how to use both I.P’s, they provide no guidance. It should be noted that my ISP DOES NOT hard code I.P’s to equipment but I must register the MAC address of my equipment in their network and will get the static IP through DHCP.
My setup now is, I have a switch connected to the DSL modem and have branched off onto two different routers to use each static I.P (note I had to register each router’s MAC address with my ISP so each router got a static IP through DHCP)
I have a server with three NIC cards installed and would like to use RouterOS to so I can get rid of two routers I currently have. I’m not sure how to configure RouterOS in this situation, I was thinking about connecting the DSL modem to a switch like I have it now, the connecting two NICs to the switch so I can register each NIC’s MAC address so it gets a static IP through DHCP, then using the third NIC to connect to a switch to use for all of my servers in my internal network, is this possible to do?
Thanks in Advance
