Router OS 7.13 and hAPax2 (C52iG-5HaxD2HaxD) and CAPs-MAN

Dear all and Happy New year.
i wrote from Italy and I hope someone can explain me better how to configure my Routerboard with Caps-man, if possible.

I will try to explain better.
My home network have a hAPac2 (RBD52G-5HacD2HnD) configured as CAPs-MAN Manager with other device. In this device I have update with Router OS 7.13 and everithing is fully working.

Now I changed my main unit, I bought a new hAPax2 (C52iG-5HaxD2HaxD).
I would like to move the CAPs-MAN Manger from hAPac2 to hAPax2. and connect the wifi inside my new hApax2 into CAPs-MAN-
The main question is: it is possible to do that?
Which Driver I have to use: wifi-qcom, wifi-qcom-ac or wireless?
At the moment I’m using the drive wifi-qcom and no voice for CAPs-MAN appear inmy winbox (v3.40).
If I install wireless drive, will appair the CApsMAN menu but i’m not able to connect at CAPsMAN the wifi of hAPax2.

Anyone can explain me better how dows work CAPsMAN with hAPax2 with RouterOS 7.13?
Best Regards
Luca

It depends on what your client APs are.

AX2 is a wifiwave2 device so the basic hooks for capsman are default available in RouterOS.
You additionally need wifi-qcom package for that device to have wifi running.

Capsman is available then in Wifi menu structure, tabs appear for configuration, channel, security, datapath… and remote cap.
Now comes the catch:
with wifiwave2 the LOCAL radio can not be controlled using capsman. You need to set it up locally.
Since that setup is for 95% the same as capsman and it is running on the same device acting as controller, it will all work just fine.

But again, it depends on what your client APs are which you want to control.
If those are legacy wifi devices, it might become complicated.
Can you clarify what those are ?
