RouterBOARD + DSL-Modem, two questions

Hi,

I want to use a RouterBOARD 500 as a VPN Server on a DSL-Line.

1.) Are there any recommendations for special DSL-Modems to use with the router? I need a simple modem without router function.
2.) Does a RouterBOARD with integrated DSL-Modem exist? (Would be my favourite solution)

  1. Depends on your DSL provider. Some modems do it, some don’t. Some modems do it, but the provider doesn’t support it.

  2. Mikrotik has no integrated DSL modem solution at this time.

Any DSL router/modem that can be put into bridge mode will work. I use the NetGear DG834 extensively, but the Marconi modem will also work.
