RouterOS - Bandwidth / simple queue max limit

I’ve never used RouterOS before, just now learning about it. I can’t find in the documentation on bandwidth limiting if there is a maximum rate that one can limit to. Using a router os demo in the GUI I find a “bandwidth” parameter in the ethernet interfaces config that seems to have a maximum of 10Mbps.

My understanding, though, is that one should be using the queueing & traffic shaping features for rate limiting. In this area I cant find any documentation with regards to how low or how high I can limit to.

In my application I have a 1Gbps uplink to the router and I wish to limit a port to 30mbps… can it be done?

Thanks!

PS: I’ve ordered a router to test with but it won’t be here for a bit yet.

Yes you can do it all.
If missing hardware you can either setup a virtualbox with ROS x86 install, download, or use old pc laptop and boot actual cd-version.
Tons of possibilities
