When a user is created with a time limit in user manager. The time continues to count down even if the user is logged off.

Where is 2.23??? And is it for the legacy boards??
Thank you,
Rod

not for all devices, only for some! it’s to add support for these new devices (like RB750)

Why not write changelog? Last version with changelog is 2.19
Thanks

As I said, there is nothing surprising in there:

What's new in 2.22:

*) fixed support for RB750;

What's new in 2.21:

*) added support for RB750;

What's new in 2.20:

*) added support for RB450G;

When will the online manual for v4 be on MT’s website?

this is the manual now:
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Category:Manual

it’s not tied to any version, if there are version specific features, it will be noted in the text. it’s never completed, it’s updated all the time.

Hey Normis - on v4 I cannot do a freq scan on x86 - It times out. Its a PC based system.
Thank you,
Rod

it’s time to change first forum’s decription! should be

BETA Testing and Feature Suggestions for the next RouterOS release (ROS v5)

What’s new in 4.1:

*) dhcp server - added support for dynamic address-list entries;

is it still with help of Mikrotik-Address-List (vendor=Mikrotik, id=19) from RADIUS response?

sharing… x86 info my v3.30 system license print,:
software-id: “0NOC-DFJD” <<< this is 8 digit SID
old-software-id: “YHSM-UMG”
upgradable-to: v4.x
nlevel: 6
features:

after upgrade to v4.0, system license print,:
software-id: “0NOC-DFJD”
old-software-id: “YHSM-UMG”
expires-in: 2d23h47m43s <<< become trial mode within 72h

I am understand that we need to update its license key, but why bother??
I hope that you reducing user to do this such steps just convert its lic key like you convert 7 to 8 digit SID

Thank you for listening

The dude no longer shows bandwidth on links as of 4.0.

My systems still running v3 work show everything fine.

if you see ‘old-software-id’ - then you have license key for 7-digit softid. you had to upgrade license in v3.30 or in v4

Hi,

I have a problem with 4.x ( both ) . When i upgrade a x86 system using a XR5 from 3.30 to 4.x, the upgrade work fine and a few seconds after wireless conects the system samply HANGS… :frowning: :frowning: , i samply downgrade the system again to 3.30 and the system back to work normally… any ideas???

BR

I do understand that need of update the lic key for the 8 digit SID but If we are at remote area how could it be apply where no i-net connectivity? these MT guy need to look a whole prospective how to applying new key etc

again thank you looking forward for its fixes

PS: thank you to bro Chupaka, how’s things moving around?.. headache??

for License uprgade, you need Internet access on the machine where WinBox is running

This release does not work properly !
On Rb133 after upgrade i have many packet lost from ethernet - to wireless.
When i try ping on the radio (from this device to another one) it looks good. From host on ehternet ping is ok too.
When i ping from host to device behind RB133 (ROS 4.1) I have many packet lost.
Downgrade to 3.30 correct problem.

[host] —ethernet----> rb133(ros 4.1) —wireless link -----> another RB

Best Regards

Chupaka, yes address-list attribute should be the same for DHCP over RADIUS.
