I live in a rural area where we get no broadband from the phone supplier that is worth the money, but in places on my land I do get a weak 4G signal (we are down in a valley).
What I’d like to do is build an outdoor router that has a 4G card in it that can interface into an external 4G antenna (so that I can get something up in the air in the corner of my land that I get a signal to hopefully improve it). The land is approx 1 acre, its a square with a few tress on the edges and I’d like to get WIFI everywhere on the land and eventually in the house that I will be building in the next 12 months.
If I can come up with a solution on this then a few of my neighbors are likely to want to have something similar, so there is a chance of buying a few bits of kit here (if there any UK supplier that want the business!).
There is the MikroTik SXT LTE device http://routerboard.com/RBSXTLTE3-7 that is a turnkey solution for what you want.
(combine it with an access point to get WiFi connection)
There are several access points that you can use, depending on the area to cover and how you can mount it.
E.g. from a corner of a square area you could use a sector antenna. See http://routerboard.com/products/group/19
But for small range it is also possible to use a cheaper outside AP from http://routerboard.com/products/group/20
Just check that you have 4g coverage on the frequencies supported by the SXT LTE. 800 MHz is not supported, and this is the 4g band with best coverage in rural areas.
Setup should be quite simple, set the SXT for the internet access and a local network with DHCP server,
should be the default, and the access point in AP Bridge mode without DHCP server (also the usually the default).
With a network cable inbetween it should work (well, 3 cables to join the PoE inserters).
Should you need an extra AP, you can use a small switch.
Both are possible.
When the SXT is running the internet connection and NAT towards the LAN side,
it is most convenient to setup the DHCP server and DNS forwarder there, and connect
the AP as a bridge only. The advantage is that you can always insert a switch between
them and be able to connect more APs or a wired system without having to worry
about the NAT/DHCP/DNS.
Of course you can also configure the SXT to be a bridge and do the NAT, DHCP and DNS
in the AP. I would avoid doing NAT both on the SXT and the AP.
No, you can run a cable from both of them to 2 PoE inserters (that come with the devices), and connect these
2 inserters together using a RJ45 barrel connector. It is possible to use a switch, with or without PoE out, but
it is not required when you use the PoE inserters.

I am in South Africa and have a Mikrotik LTESXT kit with a Hikvision IP camera connected to Port 2 with POE.
I can see the camera on IVMS 4200 if LAN cable is plugged into my PC,but as soon as i take it out i lose connection.
I need to log into the SXTLTE kit from the internet to access the camera.
I have limited knowledge so please be patient.
Please help!
