I have at home a hAP ac RB962UiGS-5HacT2HnT, with a usb data port.
Is it possible to have a serial console daisy chaining a usb to serial ( male ) to a serial (female) to usb in my laptop? I do not have any hardware with a serial port at home any more.
I have locked myself a couple of times when modifying network settings, and it is a bit annoying.
The Hap AC doesn’t have a console port at all. At least according to the hardware page.

I don’t think any of the small Mikrotik devices have console ports either. I know my RB750-Gr3 doesn’t either as I’ve locked myself out of that before as well!
normally it should work with a MikroTik Woobm usb stick …
but USB is broken in ROS7.5

I had found this old thread where it appears that the usb data ports are configured for console access: RB usb port to RJ (serial )
it’s a good tip, thanks. I have ordered one of those, as I’m still on a lower version.
Do you know about Safe Mode?
