Set Default VLAN ID

I have an L009 and a CSS610 connected via a trunk port. I cannot access the L009 using WinBox while using connected to the CSS610, but I can access via SSH/HTTPS. My client is located in VLAN 40 on the switch, which I plan to have as my management vlan. I’m assuming this is because I do not have my default vlan setup on the trunk port as its currently set to 1. In order to configure the default vlan to 40, I figured Id change the switch to eth 1 to 40, but where do I configure on the router?

Should I configure the trunk or bridge interface PVID with vlan 40?

Thanks in advance!
