Can anybody help me out, how to set the file transfer rate to any size like 100 kbps or 50 kbps. Please remember, I am not talking about download/upload speed. I tried using Radius, rate is limited but file transfer rate remains 15 Kbps if i rate limit the user at 100 Kbps.
1MB shared connection from DSL providers normally gives us 1MB download but 120kbps file transfer speed. 1MB CIR is actually 700-800kbps (kilo bits per second). I want to set this file transfer speed in MT.
When I use Queues and set the speed of 256kbps, it gives me 12-14kbps. With these calculation, if I want to give out 100kbps file transfer speed, I will have to adjust Queue at 1000kbps and I dont want to do this.
People in my town are more interested in file transfer speed. I might gave you an idea ???
That doesn’t make any sense. 1Mbps (1 megabit per second) is 1000Kbps (1000 kilobit per second), is 125KB/s (125 kilobyte per second). You seem to be mixing your units all over the place.
Browsing a web page is the exact same as downloading from a web page. They’re both HTTP GET requests. How do you plan to differentiate between the two?
You can kind of use the connection-bytes parameter to mark packets in connections that have transferred a lot of data, but that could still be a video (Hulu, Netflix, YouTube) or a large flash game - all of which people would consider ‘browsing’.
