I’ve been messing around with basic functions of MT products, mostly on the wireless side. I’m interested in going with MT for routers in place of a competitor for business purposes, but need to figure out how to do some slightly more advanced stuff. One of my first ventures is into queues. I want to be able to set up a queue to limit bandwidth for a specific client by IP address. I have wathced a few YouTube videos, and they are all the same and pretty simple…yet when I try what they are showing to do, it just doesn’t work.
I have a HapAC Lite, configured as a bridge on my home network. I have one SSID (“office”) configured that my laptop is connected to. I am running Capsman locally on this device.I have also installed firmware 7.3.1.
The queue I’m creating has the following settings
Target >> 10.10.10.141 (IP address of my laptop)
Dst >> 0.0.0.0
Max Limit Target Upload >> 1M
Max Limit Target Download >> 1M
Nothing changes when I do a speed test though. Still getting about 90Mbps, which is about what I would expect the max to be for this hardware. What am I missing or not getting right?
