Hi all,
I was searching around this forum trying to find out if the ALG/SIP fixup in routeros supports SIP over TCP or if it’s just UDP. After reading a bunch of posts, I’m now confused as to if using the nat helper is actually recommended.
SIP behind NAT is a (crappy) fact of life, and I’m now starting to deal with SIP clients that only speak TCP. Please hold your comments on SIP over TCP, it’s in the RFC and it’s not my choice :> The ability of the routerboards to do edit the SDP’s in real time like a Juniper or Cisco can would go a long way to making my life easier and cheaper!
Cheers,
