Slower speeds through Mikrotik

Guys,

I have a client that currently has a RB2011UiAS-2HnD installed and they are paying for a 100Mb comcast circuit.

The issue is when they have the mikrotik connected they are getting around 60Mb download. If we connect directly to the comcast modem we get over 100Mb. 60Mb is more than enough speed for what they need but the customer “WANTS” what they pay for.

There are no mangle rules or queues…just a basic congif.

What can be going on?

What is the ether config like? Are the ports switched or bridged?

It's exactly like it comes from factory.

The LAN ip is set on Bridge-local

/interface bridge port
add bridge=bridge-local interface=ether2
add bridge=bridge-local interface=ether3
add bridge=bridge-local interface=ether4
add bridge=bridge-local interface=ether5
add bridge=bridge-local interface=ether6-master-local
add bridge=bridge-local interface=sfp1
add bridge=bridge-local interface=wlan1

try the profiler and see what takes up the CPU the most and tweak from there

Hi I have MikroTik CRS125-24G-1S-2HnD-IN with OSv6.5.
My provider speed is 120Mb/s. When connected directly to PC it is ok, but when connected from the router to MikroTik CRS125-24G-1S-2HnD-IN SPF port through MikroTik SFP modul S-RJ01, RJ-45, 100m, 1.25Gbit it goes down to 1/3 speed. I use factory settings of the MikroTik CRS125-24G-1S-2HnD-IN.
Thanks for any help.

I’d suggest to make ports 2-5 use switch rather than bridge them using CPU - using internal switch is much more effective in comparison to bridge.

You can do this via setting master port to eth2 for ports 2-5 and then add it to the bridge-local. Note, you won’t be able to set master port for interfaces until you remove them from bridge.
