[solved] wlan2: denying assoc to X:X:..., too many connected stations

Hi,

I have couple separate SSIDs configured on my RBcAPGi-5acD2nD:
vlan2-2.4GHz
vlan2 (5GHz)
when I try to switch between them I get error:

echo: wireless,debug wlan2: denying assoc to X:X:..., too many connected stations

there is only 3 clients connected, so the limit is not maxed out...

is there any way to change this behavior?

I'd check if you've (accidentally) set a limit manually.

There is a "max station count" on the Advanced tab, it is normally set to 2007

thanks for the suggestions,

it was the master interface settings...

mode=bridge

instead of

mode=ap-bridge

I'm not sure if it is documented, that if you create virtual wireless interface, the master has to be set as ap-bridge
anyway, I couldn't find it

You are right that the mode naming is confusing...

The documentation - generally speaking - sucks, but the modes are one of the few things actually clear, only finding them in the table:

is not immediate.

@pawel.k Please use the dedicated button instead of [solved] in the title.

Thank you.

sure, I'll happily do that, but I can't see any button to do so...
