TL;DR, patch your shit and move on.
Patched long before "TL;DR;" posts. There are some priorities to obey.
Are we entering an age of continental-scale service outages, flight cancellations, blackouts, massive data breaches and stricter privacy laws ?
I can see where some forms online businesses may be required to obtain a license to operate, or software-programmer becoming a profession which requires a license...
We're entering a Golden Age according to Elon. Robots serve us and AI does all the thinking. So we have time for our hobbies.
Which will basically consist in finding ways to have stuff that AI designed and robots made actually work.

Not to bad at all. AI fixing Mikrotik wifi and robots fixing hap be3 thermal design.
Also people will have no jobs, receive Universal Basic Income, own nothing, and be happy
...
and mental health epidemic will come to an end.
From whom? Owners of AI tools and robots? Not likely. And if everybody is unemployed (and richest people flee to tax heavens to avoid paying taxes), states and countries won't have any money because nobody will pay taxes.
IIRC the society on the spaceship in WALL-E is run by a megacorporation. In those hundreds of years on that spaceship no one pay anything and all works are done by robots and AI.
The downside is that everyone is obese.

By giving the entire population on Earth (it was over 200 billion as seen in a newspaper) "the right to spend", humanity went into a state of mass consumerism which covered the entire planet in un-recycled refuse.
That's got to be a communistic illusion. No capitalist (even those calling themselves "megacorporation") will ever willingly give anything away for free. Yes, capitalists will embrace AI and robots ... because that enables them to cut costs (man labour) while selling their products for same money, thus increasing their own profits. The problem is in what then happens to those profits. If states/countries don't "steal" tose profits from capitalists (in form of "excessive" taxes), then the money will be spent on insanely expensive items, "needed" by capitalists ... and that money will then circulate in close circle of wealthiest capitalists (and very few people admitted to serve those wealthiest people). The res of people (including states/countries) will slowly remain money-less ... and at that moment, the only way of keeping those "useless unemployed people" alive is that those wealthiest people provide the rest with some basic means of survival. Which, for "normal" capitalists won't happen.
IMO what happened in USA with Musk's DOGE is a proof for the above written concept.
that reminds me of this: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/TNZ0oFKFAsk

And at that point, people with no money finally realize that they don’t need money at all...
Bartering begins anew, and the entire global financial system goes down the drain
because all those people who specialize in banking, loans, and pledges, can take their money and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine;
nobody wants it anymore.
I don’t believe the system has any intention of ending people’s dependence on money.
To do so would be to strip away its primary means
(aside from mindless sporting events, which seem to be treated as the center of the universe)
of controlling the herd of slaves;
a system that, as it is currently structured, subjugates even those who refuse to play along.
You're right when looking at the system as a whole. But every individual member will (by default) try to have an upper hand in it ... so capitalists will try to have extra (short term) profits and won't consider possibility that by having it they ruin their business case long term.
And that's exactly why in capitalism, regulation makes it long-term sustainable (to certain extent): because it protects those with less power ... but are essential part of the same system. Even though those on the top have (in short term) lower profits due to regulation.
Thank you for taking out the trash.
Politics concerning real and/or current figures must not end up in the forum.
(for the others: it had nothing to do with technology)
Just like the post above has nothing to do with technology either.
Better not say anything
@rextended, adversities don't build character - they reveal it.
