Split access

Hello to all,

since a couple of years ago I’ve been using this funtionality with ip route 2: http://lartc.org/howto/lartc.rpdb.multiple-links.html. Split access between n ISP’s gives me the ability to access to a Linux router that acts as endpoint VPN so I may balance the pressure depending the upstream I have on each link and if any fails it is available on other. Another powerfull thing is to mark LAN’s I have behind and depending their source address or the destination ports (mainly interactive ones, ssh, telnet Terminal Server) mark those packages and use the lines with the best latencies and/or with fixed IP’s to assure our access to remote sites controlled by firewalls.

So, I wish to know if someone could do something similar in order to substitute this machine with a Mikrotik one … disk less … no fan … no problems … zero downtime ;D

I want to congratulate to all Mikrotik team because this solution is sensational compared to others. I love flexibility and of course … the price. I use it’s for several schemas, bonding+IPoE, router, bridge, etc.

Thank you really much. Excellent job.

See you soon!
