Anyone work with the modem for successful operation? System-Resources-USB can see it but its stuck at PPP status “waiting for packets”
Its a plug and chug device on a windows machine with a gui UI but I am not certain which config parameters I can/should modify to apply to the Mikrotik’s PPP settings that become available when the 341u is installed.
“Waiting for packets” means that you have “Dial on demand” set.
Uncheck enabled and dial on demand, then apply.
Now press the Info button and make sure you get valid info.
You’ll probably want to remove any default APN and use *99# as the dial string.
Re-enable and you should get a connection. If not I’d check around Sprint forums for the correct APN and dial string.
Thanks gtj for chiming in.
Selecting info a message window pops up stating “Couldn’t start-can’t reuse channel while ppp-client running”
No info is displayed in the resulting info window.
I’ll hit the boards and see what other sprint users do.
You have to disable the ppp client interface before pressing Info.
