SSL connection error in my RB 751G

after configuration of my RB 751g Hotspot I had the following on lunching a web browser to browse

SSL connection error
Unable to make a secure connection to the server. This may be a problem with the server,
or it may be requiring a client authentication certificate that you don’t have.
Error 107 (net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR): SSL protocol error.

I have the same issue, only have a solution?

Do you have a SSL certificate installed in that router? If not, you should use “select certificate=none” in the hotspot setup.

Hi

The hotspot was set up using the selection “SSL - None”(attached a screenshot).

If a user connects to the hotspot and is not redirected to the login page(which normally happens on smart phones and tablets), then the user usually types in Google(which is a SSL site) in their browser they get an SSL error instead of the hotspot login page.

Anyway around this?

I have not found a way around that. The original request prior to login must be unsecured port 80.

Hi,

I ran into the same problem, did you solve it?

regards

No unfortunately not, and it looks real bad to clients. I hope Mikrotik can fix this soon!

set a static dns entry to force google to not be ssl - google non-ssl.

Thanks for the tip, can you explain how to do this?
