SSL???

Hi, How can I set that SSL HOtspot login page? I don’t know anything about it, it says import ssl.
Will I purchase a ssl from hosting companies?

I wonder why SSL is needed also, is that for sniffers who wants to steal their passwords?

Sounds like this may be a little beyond you if you don’t yet know what SSL is, but I’ll put it simply.

When it asks for an SSL Certificate it is asking for a security certificate so you can enable https login on your hotspot.
This is a more secure method of logging in and prevents any external party from eavesdropping on the conversation.

To obtain an SSL certificate thou, you will firstly need a domain name as well, then you will have to assign a dns name to your hotspot which matches the one you select for you SSL certificate.

This way when users login, the browser will check and confirm the certificate is valid (for the domain) before allowing them to continue, if not, most all browsers will popup a warning message prompting them that the certificate is invalid / the website is insecure.

You can setup a hotspot just using regular http logins if you wish, but unless your network is perfectly protected, then you have no-way of ensuring that someone else can’t acquire your users login details.
