I had an RB2011 running at one site to act as a VPN and everything worked great. I needed another MikroTik for a different site,so I had to move some things around. I saved the config from the VPN router and when the new router came in, I uploaded the config and reset the Mac addresses. the VPN no longer works, so I created a new certificate, downloaded it on the remote client and even went through and remade the VPN account on the client side, and I still cannot get the VPN to work. What have I missed. I assume either something didn’t carry over in the backup/restore process.
Need more info, i.e. export of configs, error logs, etc
I did some more poking around today and got it working. I used an image from the old router initially to set up the new router. I reset the Mac addresses for the ports, and recreated the Certificates, but I just looked at the SSTP Server settings under PPP, the Certificate setting had changed to none. I selected my certificate and now its all up and running like it should be.
