Steps to configure CRS326-24S+2Q+RM as a L3 Switch wihtout Router-on-a-stick

As, I was not able to do anything with my CRS326-24S+2Q+RM and RouterOS, not even the basic Access Port configuration with my existing core switch, atlast had started to read this tutorial http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/using-routeros-to-vlan-your-network/126489/1 Its mentioned in this tutorial, that unlike other vendors Mikrotik uses VLAN 0 as the Naitive VLAN. Is it true? Not even in my wildest of dreams, I would have thought, it will be so (why would somebody do something different other than establishment norms and not properly document it and highlight it?).

If it is true that CRS326 has VLAN0 as the Native VLAN, how can I adjust to this fact? Because, in my existing setup on all the switches, the Native VLAN is 1.
My HP core switch, to which this CRS326 will link to, and which will do Inter VLAN Routing, has also got VLAN 1 as the Native VLAN. My every configuration was going wrong because of this.

What should I do to adapt to this change in misconfiguration or should I better use SwOS and forget about L3 functionalities of my switch? Is it same with SwOS too?

Thanks
