Sticky rubber coating: please advise or refrain

It's well known that the smooth rubber coating (aka soft-touch paint) on hardware become sticky after a few years, and is a pain in the a** to remove (basically scrub for hours with IPA).

My hAP ax3 is not an exception unfortunately. I honestly don't understand why manufacturers keep using this despite the bad quality of this material.

Could you please clearly mention the rubber coating on the product pages? And if possible, even getting rid of it altogether. I know it makes products feel "premium" but it only lasts so long, and after a while if feels the exact opposite.

IPA evaporate quickly, instead of it prefer to use WD40. Apply it to soft cloth as needed instead of surface directly and rub it. Clean greasy surface later with paper towel maybe small amount of IPA.
