Hello everyone
First of all, I’m really angry about weak documentation of Mikrotik !
BTW, we recently decide to connect our buildings using 2 pair of Mikrotik radios ( Redundancy considerations ). Solution Provider deployed links and said : These are transparent L2 links and will pass everything exactly like a copper wire !
Links are Layer 2 and trunk to carry multiple VLAN traffics.
Questions :
- When I checked STP, It looks radios are getting involved in STP procedure because calculated cost is something strange ! How can I make radios to be transparent about STP?
- When I create etherchannel on cisco switches behind the radios, channels don’t come up! Etherchannel protocol ( LACP or PAGP ) doesn’t change anything! We also checked different configuration ( Acctive/Passive - Auto/Desirable - Active/Active - Desirable/Desirable … )
We need these radios to be like a wire and nothing more but they are making me mad and sad.
