Stuck on ether boot

Hi,

I plugged 2 days ago a crs 109 for an ftth. I already encountered many difficulties. (err_timeout) on some web sites, unable to load a file on the device, cannot reach it through the brother… It get fix randomly, and then I am unable to go on internet but able to go on th web based winbox.

The horror came just now, when I tried to upgrade (from 6.23 to 6.33) using netinstall. I was unable to load the file via winbox, (always kicked out). Then when it started (5%) installing with netinstall, I got a timeout error. Now the device is blocked on “ether boot” screen, and I do not see it with netinstall :frowning:(. It is so frustrating…

Do you think the router is dead? Is it possible to boot it differently?

Actually, does it worth investing time on this router for a home with 3 computers?

Thank you for any advice,

This is one of the new topic for me. Thank you for sharing this type of information. I want know more about this topic. certainly i will search that information.

I found the solution here:

Then I was able to upgrade the config.

Try the netinstall procedure again.

For the correct procedure see on my website

You can also boot with serial interface.

Hi,

Thank you plisken, I posted a reply stating that I succeeded , but it was not published (maybe am I too new?)

The fixed IP address seemed to do the trick:

I am now up and running. A bit sad though since I “only” get ~540 downward and ~800 upward. I hope I will find a way…
