SXT LTE - Any way to display modulation in use?

Hi,
I’m using an SXT LTE, the LTE modem is shown as “R11e-LTE” in Winbox. Is there any way to show the modulation in use both upstream and downstream? It’s not shown in Winbox as far as I can see, are there CLI options that display more detail?
Thanks,
Tony S

That module is Cat.4 means below rel.12 and DL modulation is max 64QAM. Remember that SINR should be >15.
You must check if your module report you a CQI parameter when you download stg from internet.
We cannot read a current modulation for UL even on r11e-lte6.

My table:

Thanks. SINR is 18dB at the moment, although it varies. CQI 13. We’re on Band 20 where our carrier has 5MHz.

Maybe band 3 or 1 or 7 ? They should give more speed.

The mast we’re served from is around 12 km away. That mast only has Band 20, but I doubt the higher frequencies would be viable over that distance anyway. There are two masts much closer which have Band 3 as well but so far I haven’t found a location or orientation that will pick them up. With hills around I don’t really have line of sight anywhere.

Modulation varies wildly in LTE. Theoretically every RB (chunk of OFDM tones) could use different modulation during same TTI (there are 25 RBs within 5MHz carrier). This is not common though, but it does change between TTIs. As TTIs in 4G are 1ms in duration, it would be impossible to show exact modulation.
What could be done is some statistical representation, but CQI and RSRQ are telling same story.

The problem with most low-frequency eNodeBs (in Europe those are bands 20, 8 and upcoming 28/68) is that they are most of time highly loaded because they provide service to many users in conditions similar to OP’s.
