SXT LTE For Band 13/Verizon

Recently I discovered the SXT LTE sheerly by accident and can’t believe I’d never seen it before. It was EXACTLY what we had been looking for for 2 years! As usual, I didn’t read the specs closely and just ordered it. And, wait for it, it didn’t work with our SIM. I quickly realized that it did not support Band 13 which Verizon requires.

Is there any way that we could get this unit to work on Verizon in the US? Is it possible to swap the modem or do anything to make it work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, this would solve so many problems for us!

Thanks all.

If you speak about SXT LTE Kit = SXTR + R11e-LTE (not about SXT LTE 3-7) then yes, you can replace mPCIe module to other one.
Try check the Quectel EP06-A at https://www.quectel.com/product/EP06.htm
Other MikroTik LTE devices you can check at: https://mikrotik.com/products/group/lte-products?filter&s=c#!

I have been trying to get an EP06 to work for weeks now. No luck.
Do you have info on getting it running.?

Thanks.

No luck.

no details what this mean.

Probably he works in MBIM mode as default and your ros6 not detect it.
Upgrade your RouterOS to v7 beta and you discover lte1 interface.

Then you can change mode to ECP is you want use it with RouterOS v6.

The Cat4 Quectel EC25-V OR the EC25-AF will work fine on v6. I have been using the Cat12 EM12-G in the hAP AC 3 with a mPCIe to M.2 adapter with good results. I don’t think it will fit with the adapter in a SXT. Otherwise some have tried taping the USB3 pins on the EP06 with some success. I never really had much success on v6 with the EP06.

EP06, EG25, and EC25 work with SXT R in router OS 6.48+ in ECM mode.

and EP06-A is geat too.
The EM12-G, EM160R works in MBIM with RouterOS7 and m.2 adapter and some pigtails.
