I have a P2P link setup with 2 933mhz Intel P3, using SR5 cards. Nstreme, 5ghzturbo, I am getting 62mbps UDP end to end, but I only get half on TCP, around 30mbps, any reason why?
I have them hooked together directly with 60db attenuators (no antennas), signals around -50
Another note, I am doing the test from windows Pc to windows Pc with btest.exe across the link. When I try and do a TCP test to the Mikrotik box (receive) it locks up the box? any reason why? If I do a send it is ok, but will only do around 30mbps?
Ok, let me ask this, how come when I do a ftp download form Mikrotik box itself, I get 56mbps download? When I do ftp download from box behind mikrotik (ethernet) I only get half that?
check you ethernet that goes from router to the pc (behind MT)
make sure its not gigabit ( i got only 19mbps with some of them)
also access you motherbord bios and disable everythink that u dont need
(USB Audio printer interface anything that u dont need then try) locking up router happend 2 me twice 1 for the Irq and 2nd one for the realtek gigabit
The WDS should be faster then the EoIP tunnel.
Any time you repeat you will lose speed. Try it with two RBs in the mid point and connect them with a switch or just a ethernet cable.

Route them if you can.
Yes I am testing from Windows to windows, throughput is better windows to mikrotik.
I have tried WDS bridged and standard routing, and the performance is very close. So I am losing about 5-10mbps going through a extra hop, why is it that I am losing throughput, when I am not actually repeating the signal on the same wireless interface. The mikrotik box in the middle has two wireless cards.
